With any new Season, I love adding in a few new makeup items to “freshen up” my look. Over the last few weeks I’ve been feeling like my makeup has looked too flat and boring. It needed a Summer brightening! And a touch more color!
So last week I grabbed a few new beauty items from Nordstrom. I’ve been using them since and loving the pretty pops of color!
Nordstrom is my favorite for all things beauty as they have a wide variety of brands, price points, and products. And it all ships free!
Don’t underestimate how important a makeup primer is. I’ve heard rave reviews about this YSL blur primer and it really is fabulous! A soft, silky finish that evens out your skin texture and allows makeup to glide on smooth.
This palette was top on my list to try. I love the rosy colors and how this palette really brightens the face. I’ve been using the 2 light creamy “face” colors as my eyeshadow base and then mixing in the top 3 eyeshadows for a pretty color mix. A little of the blush goes a long way and it’s gorgeous!
Another item I knew needed up dating for Summer was my lip color. Looking for a quick update? A new lipstick really does change the overall look to your makeup. This Bobbi Brown Jelly Stick is a hydrating, smooth lip stick that adds plenty of long-lasting color.
