Wait until you see the finished remodel!
WOW – what a difference. But first, today I thought it would be fun to share photos of our old kitchen and some snapshots of the remodeling process with Dave Fox.
Come back tomorrow to see the finished photos. Then over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing all the details – countertop colors, paint colors, fixtures, lighting, etc!
Dark and outdated.
That’s how I would describe our old kitchen. When we first moved into our house 18 years ago, the kitchen was going to be the first thing we did. Ha! Three kids later, and multiple other home projects took priority. It was now time to get rid of the blue floral tiles.
We knew that if we were going to invest in such a big remodel, we wanted the best people doing the job. That’s exactly why we went with Dave Fox. Their attention to detail, cleanliness (they cleaned up the space every night before leaving!), and customer service was top of the line.
During the design meeting, Dave Fox presented 3 options at various price points. Then we were able to tweak and work through those designs. Knocking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room was a must for us, and they created an amazing plan for making that happen!
Michelle was our head designer and she was amazing!!
This wall between the kitchen and dining room had to go!
All 3 kids got to help with some of the demolition! It was fun to get them involved in the process. From the middle picture above and below, you can see how big and open the space became once the wall was down.
After replacing any damaged wood flooring, it all got sanded for a perfect even finish. Then it was time to stain. We had them stain to match the rest of the hardwood throughout the main level.
Come back tomorrow to see the final photos!
