Well, Gracie is all moved into her college apartment and ready to start her freshman year at Auburn!!! It’s crazy to have a child in college already! Seriously…the last 18 years flew by.
Auburn!! Gracie (heck all of us) fell in love with the school the first time we visited. And even though we looked at a lot of schools after that initial visit, I think she knew all along that’s where she’d end up going.
So she is not living in a dorm her freshman year. It’s a long story, but she ended up in an amazing new student apartment complex right off the center of campus. It’s considered off-campus living and has incredible amenities!! Pool, gym, game room, courtyard to name a few! She is in a suite with 4 other girls, where they each have their own bedroom/bathroom. It really is the ideal situation. The apartment comes furnished so we just needed to add the extra touches to make it feel like home.
It’s amazing what an area rug, some cozy bedding and a few room accessories can do to really warm up a space. She loves how her room turned out. She has a couple more things she wants to add, but for the most part it’s done and will hopefully be the perfect home away from home for her!
