Looking for a fun activity for girls night out, date night, kids birthday, corporate outing? How about a DIY workshop! It’s a hands on, fun way to be creative and create your own special item.
AR Workshop has locations all around the country! The location closest to me is in Worthington, OH and Betsy even has a couple locations near her in Raleigh, NC.
Whether you’re experienced in crafts or want to try something new, there is a wide variety of projects. Our workshop was wood based – signs, wood trays, centerpiece boxes, etc – but they also have chunky knit blanket making, candle pouring and more! They even have Birthday party packages and Summer ARt camp for kids! You can find your closest location here.
Every detail is thoroughly thought out and organized for you. Since you choose your project ahead of time when you register, it’s all gathered and waiting for you.
If you choose to, you can bring your own drinks and snacks.
Upon arrival and finding your project set-up, the fun begins! You get to choose all the stains and colors and special details to create a unique, customized project. Each party table has an AR Workshop worker there to help, teach and guide you in your creating. This special touch is what makes it a great experience for all ages. Drew is 10 and was able to do her project all by herself!
If you’re looking for a fun Holiday Season themed project, you can browse the options here!
All of our projects were a little different and they all turned out so good!
In addition to the hundreds of possible DIY projects, the front of the store has the cutest boutique full of special gifts and home decor. So if you don’t have time to create your own piece, you can do a little shopping or order a piece already made!
Teacher gifts, candles, and home decor. You can even buy a gift card towards a visit to the workshop for someone to enjoy!
If you don’t live near an AR Workshop, you can order a DIY to-go kit! How fun would that be on a cold Winter day!

A special Thank You to AR Workshop for having us for a fun girls night and sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
