We can’t believe it’s been 6 years since our first instagram post! We thought it would be fun today to look back over the last years as we kick off our NEW website and rebranding.
Six years ago we thought it would be fun to start our own Instagram and blog. We had been following so many others and honestly just thought it would be fun to do it too! We had NO idea what we were doing, how it would go, and what it would ultimately turn into.
As you can see from our beginning photos, they were terrible!!! HA! And these few early pics aren’t even the worst! Yikes. We didn’t know anything about lighting, angles, posing or a good front tuck!! The pic below on the top right needed all of those things!!! Goes to show that sometimes you just need to start and learn as you go. Comparing then to now, there is a HUGE difference. We’ve learned so much, our looks/styles have changed so much and it’s so cool to see how far we’ve come.
We’ve done a lot of these 6 years…had some amazing collaborations with brands we love and use daily. Marc Fisher, Anthropologie, Colleen Rothschild, Sequin Jewelry and Walmart to name a few. We’ve traveled to some fun and beautiful places together to create content. It’s always so fun and special when we can get together since we live in different states. With our kids’ busy schedules it doesn’t happen as often as we’d like, so we cherish the times when we can make it work. And we know you all seem to love the pictures together. We’ll try to do more moving forward!! We’ve been to 4 (this years being virtual) rewardStyle conferences. We remember when we finally got on the rewardStyle platform 5 years ago, it was a huge milestone for us!!!
Over the last six years our hairstyles have definitely changed as well. From ultra dark to ultra blonde, super long to short. Please tell us we aren’t the only ones that change their hair all the time!? Looking back at these extreme color differences, what were we thinking??? I think we are both in a good color spot right now, much closer to our natural hair color.
Why the new blog?
Our last site was looking outdated, it ran slow and just wasn’t as reader friendly as we wanted it to be. There is so much more content we are excited to start sharing with you all. Our new site and layout will be more user friendly and easier for you to find details of what you’re looking for. We love that each post has a “Shop the Post” feature right on the main page which makes for easy shopping of an item.
A huge shoutout to Trek Your Market for creating our awesome new site! They’ve created exactly what we were looking for.

Of course lululemon made the top 9! It’s definitely a favorite of ours as well. And our love of sneakers continue! These p448 sneakers are the best! The calf hair black sneakers above were my very first pair.
