Hocking Hills getaway

It was the perfect weekend getaway to Hocking Hills. A quick drive from Columbus, OH as it took about 90 mins. We stayed in this amazing A-Frame cabin with plenty of room for the 4 of us.

Besides the unique structure, the decor was a mix of modern, rustic and cozy which fits perfectly into the vibe of being in the woods.

In addition to this adorable A-Frame cabin, The Everwoods also has a Lodge that can sleep 9. Both of these have all the amenities to make for a relaxing getaway – fire pit, hot tub, grill, full kitchen and plenty of room to sit back and chill.

Right behind both cabins are a private hiking trail if you want to stay on property. Want more hiking? There are a variety of hiking trails a short drive into Hocking Hills state park.

We brought all our groceries for the weekend with us as well as a variety of drinks/beverages. What was on our weekend menu?

Friday dinner – steaks, green beans, and French bread. s’mores for dessert.

Saturday breakfast – bacon, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwiches

Lunch – grilled ham & cheese sandwiches, chips

Dinner – sausage, tortellini soup, apple crisp

Sunday breakfast – donuts

All easy enough to bring the ingredients and quick cooking.

This weekend we went to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls.

Grab some firewood on your way – sitting around the fire pit at night is the best. Of course we made s’mores!

Be sure to check out all the details on both the A-Frame and the Lodge here.
